It's All About The Game!

Whether you are his fan or whether you are revolted at the very sight of him, you can not deny that Paul Michael Levesque (born July 27, 1969 in Nashua, New Hampshire), Hunter Hearst Helmsley (usually abbreviated to "Triple H" or "HHH"), has been one of the most dominant personalities to hit televisions across the globe while working for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) on its RAW brand. HHH, the wrestler we all love to hate, is a 10-time World Champion: 4-time WWE Champion, 1-time Undisputed Champion and 5-time World Heavyweight Champion. Triple H was originally packaged as the WWF heel Hunter Hearst Helmsley, a spoiled rich kid from Greenwich, Connecticut whose name invoked both the family of publisher William Randolph Hearst and "The Queen of Mean," Leona Helmsley. Along with fellow Clique member Shawn Michaels and Chyna, he was a member of one of the most popular stables in wrestling history, D-Generation X in 1997. Around the same time, he reduced his alias to Triple H. This was the beginning of his rise to become one of the most successful professional wrestlers ever. Helmsley was best known backstage as one of the members of the Clique, a group of wrestlers including Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash, Sean Waltman and Scott Hall who worked exclusively together and were known for influencing Vince McMahon and the WWF Creative team.

When I think back of the earliest memories of Triple H I find two coming to my mind : 1. Was when there was a music special and several wrestlers were asked what their favourite music was (U2, Pearl Jam, Ted Nugent, Van Halen etc were the common answers) and HHH answered "None of that Pop/Rock non-sense, I listen to classical like Mozart!". And the second memory is him being trashed by The Ultimate Warrior in a pay-per-view event in a few seconds. The Warrior seemed to be in a big rush. Now the reasons why these are so ironic is this : firstly, HHH has changed his theme music since that time to a song by heavy rockers Motorhead (who are lead by singer/bassist Lemmy, a person who looks a lot like Hunter and who Hunter pays tribute to by growing a similar type of mustache). Motorhead's "Evolution" was also the theme music for the Evolution - the group of Batista, Randy Orton, Rick Flair & HHH. And as for the in-ring incident, it is so funny to know that the same guy who was thrashed by the Ultimate Warrior is now a 10 time World Champ!

Anyway, I just have to say that he is an imposing figure in the wrestling world, being married to Vince MacMahon's daughter has probably helped him to headline events and push for his getting title shots. But he does give a commanding performance in the ring. His fights with Shawn Michaels, Goldberg & Batista are proof enough of what HHH brings every time he steps into the arena.
