Eddie Geurrero is dead at the age of 38. One of Wrestlings most controversial & colourful superstars died in Minneapolis. He was found dead on the morning of November 13 in his hotel room in Minneapolis. Eddie is survived by his wife Vickie and daughters Shaul, 14, Sherilyn, 9, and Kaylie Marie, 3. The cause of death is unknown at this time. An autopsy will be performed in Minneapolis on Monday, and Eddie’s body will then be flown to Phoenix. Funeral arrangements are set for Wednesday in Scottsdale, Arizona. He also leaves behind his numerous fans around the world, not to mention his close friends in the WWE.
The first time I saw Eddie was in the now defunct WCW. There he fought along with fellow Mexican-Americans and also had an allaince with Dean Malenko & Chris Benoit among others. Once he made the jump to the bigger WWE, Eddie stood out as a loveable rascal with his logo & theme song "I lie, I cheat, I steal". He went on to win the WWE United States Championship, The European Championship, The Inter-Continental Championship, the Tag Team championships (on numerous occasions) & the highlight of his career - the WWE Championships on Feb 15,2004 . He was from Mexico's first family of wrestling and after making a name for himself there he moved to Japan and later the United States with ECW.
